About Me

Pablo Iañez Picazo has a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Granada and an MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Copenhagen. He is interested in the potential application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms to biomedical data.

He has bioinformatics expertise in applying machine learning models in protein and genomic data, as well as working with single-cell data. He has participated in the ESPACE consortium inside the Human Cell Atlas, building the first multi-omics single-cell atlas of the human pancreas.

Recently, he received his Ph.D. title from Universitat Pompeu Fabra by defending the research that he carried out in the Digital Health group, between ISGlobal and the BSC, where he studied the application of machine learning and computer vision algorithms to decipher the aging of stem cells using microscopy images.
